Conference 'Sharing Environmental Information'
During the Belgian Presidency of the EU (2nd half 2010) the European Environment Agency (EEA) and the Flemish Environment Agency (FEA-VMM) will organise a 3-day conference on ‘Sharing Environmental Information’.

The conference will take place in Brussels (Square Brussels Meeting Centre) on Monday November 29th, Tuesday November 30th and Wednesday December 1st.
Content in a nutshell:
- Evaluation and planning of next steps for the processes of the “European Environment State and Outlook Report (SOER)” and “Shared European and National State of the Environment information (SENSE)”
- Towards an implementation plan for “Shared Environmental Information System for Europe (SEIS)” (more info)

- The launch of SOER2010 (on Tuesday November 30th)

Goal: to underline the importance, boost and integrate processes related to environmental information at different levels (global, European, national, sub national, local). With the launch of SOER2010 as a high level item on the second day, the EIONET and relevant international organisations and processes will discuss concrete practical steps for further work on SOER, SENSE and SEIS.
